About the Role:
Join the team at Alton Towers Resort as an Audio Visual Systems Team Leader, where you’ll be the first line of support and primary point of contact for maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing, and monitoring all AV equipment within the department. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise in specialised audio-visual systems will ensure our shows and attractions run seamlessly.
This is a full time role which will include weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support a team of eight AV technicians, guiding daily workloads and stepping in to provide direction in the absence of the AV Technical Team Leader.
Maintain and service all department AV and associated equipment, ensuring accurate record keeping and proactive fault finding.
Program, interrogate, and modify complex AV systems, including Q-SYS, Medialon, Chroma-Q Vista, Pharos, Hippotizer, and 7th Sense Delta.
Work confidently with networked AV protocols such as TCP/UDP, MIDI, Art-Net/RDM, Q-LAN, Dante, RS232/485, HDBase-T, and SMPTE.
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Ethernet/IP network systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and legislation, including BS7671, BS7909, LOLER, PUWER, EAW, and HASAWA.
Qualifications & Experience:
Level 3 or higher qualification in a relevant AV discipline, or proven professional experience within the audio-visual industry.
Solid understanding of audio-visual systems programming and maintenance.
Leadership experience, ideally supporting or leading technical teams.
Familiarity with industry health and safety legislation and best practices.
